Not sure if your reupholstery project is “worth it?”

This is the one question we have been asked so many times! And the answer isn’t straightforward, but there are a couple of key features that can help you decide.

First, is it sentimental? If it is a special family heirloom, then yes, it is definitely “worth it.” There is no way a new piece will ever match up to sentiment. In most cases, even a chair that has been in a back barn for years is repairable in the skilled hands of an upholstery workroom.

Is it a shape you like? If you have a unique floor plan and only that piece will fit, then yes, it is “worth it” Also, if you have a soft spot for vintage frames that just can’t be found any more, its absolutely “worth it.”

Is it well made? This answer will take a little longer, but in a nutshell if the piece has a hardwood frame with legs that are an integral frame and the springs are 8-way tied - bonus points if there is a spring front rail, then yes it is definitely “worth it”
